Produced from old vines in the Côte du Py on the slopes of an extinct volcano, this cru wine is structured with generous black fruits and a series of ripe tannins and balanced acidity. It has the structure and density to age while also having a light touch of black cherry fruit. Drink from 2019.
Bright violet. Dark berries, cherry pit and licorice on the expansive, spice-accented nose. Open-knit and fleshy in style, offering bitter cherry and cassis flavors and a mineral nuance that emerges with air. A subtle floral pastille note builds on the youthfully tannic finish, which hangs on with resonating dark berry character and strong tenacity. (JR)
