The producer known as Henri de Villamont takes its name from the Chevalier, or Lord, of Villamont, a crusader who retired to the village of Savigny, where Villamont's cellars are located. (The cellars were built by Léonce Bocquet, then the owner of Clos de Veugeot, in 1880.)
