The 2013 Bourgogne Blanc has a captivating bouquet that seems to expand in the glass, touches of chalk and flint just behind the citrus fruit. There is no modesty here. The palate is smooth and harmonious on the entry, hints of toffee apple and almond layered over a sweet finish. Very approachable now, this is a bottle to just sit back enjoy this over the next 3 to 4 years. (NM)
There is just enough reduction present to push the underlying fruit to the background though I suspect that it will slowly dissipate with a few years of bottle age. I like the seductive texture of the plump yet delineated middle weight flavors that terminate in a vibrant and solidly complex finish. Lovely stuff and particularly so for its level. *Outstanding*
