A layered and very fresh but ripe wild red berry fruit nose complements the rich, full, generous and also quite fresh medium plus weight flavors that coat the palate with dry extract as confers a real sense of volume to the minerally and mildly sauvage finish that possesses seriously impressive length and depth. Griotte rarely is more complex than say Mazis or Latricières but that is the case with this wine in 2007. Definitely worth considering.
A lean, muscular red, with sweet cherry, raspberry and floral notes playing off its firm structure. Dense with both fruit and tannins, and the long aftertaste plays out on a mineral theme. Best from 2013 through 2028.
