Bright, fresh and nuanced, the 2016 Chardonnay (Russian River) has so much to offer. The Russian River Chardonnay is a distinctly mid-weight wine built on expressive citrus and floral character. It also happens to be the hidden gem in this range. (AG)
This wine is an impressive barrel selection of several vineyards across the appellation. It opens with a nose of charcuterie and brined olive, with a palate that is textured and rich in flavors of tarte Tatin and baked mango. *Editor's Choice* (VB)
The 2016 Hartford Court Chardonnay Russian River Valley hits the ground running with open-knit scents of ripe peaches, Bosc pears and honeydew melon with touches of honey toast and crème brûlée. Medium to full-bodied, rich and with a pleasant oiliness to the texture, it fills the mouth with generous stone fruit flavors, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)
The appellation 2016 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is a barrel fermented and aged white sourced from all the estate properties. Spiced pineapple, pear, seashell, and some lemon peel notes all emerge from this medium-bodied effort that has good intensity and depth, a light texture, and nicely integrated acidity. It shows the more elegant style of the vintage but puts on weight with time in the glass.
