The 2016 Cabernet Franc Coquelicot Vineyard is one of the most overt, powerful wines in this range. Dried cherry, smoke, tobacco, leather and menthol are all prominent. The 2016 was fermented with 100% whole clusters and spent 12 days on the skins. Today, the oak seems a bit noticeable, which is surprising given that the 2016 was aged entirely in neutral barrels.
