From the Altenbourg vineyard (located directly below the Grand Cru Furstentum), this cuvée shows captivating, rot-ennobled flavors of lychee, candied grapefruit, yellow fruits, and flowers. It is rich and fine with great verve and elegance. Years in and out, it contains 30-45 g/l residual sugar, often at the level of a Vendanges Tardives. On the nose, golden raisins come to mind. It is very sweet and very candied with clove and intense brioche notes. A very classy Gewurztraminer with tons of butter. and honey on the finish.
