Tasting Notes

Frith wines is a very small project between proprietor Cory Lane and winemaker Christopher Vandendriessche (White Rock / Hudson). The grapes are sourced from some of the very best parcels of vines in Napa. Frith is an ancient old English word that essentially means "peace" or "sanctuary". In context it is also associated with the concept of kinship, loyalty and honor. Winemaker's Notes: "If Frith were a ship, Grenache would be its anchor. This is the wine that started it all. Vibrant, fresh and feminine...this versatile beauty shows classic notes of black olive and white pepper alongside fresh pops of red berry and floral tones. 86% Grenache, 14% Whole Cluster Syrah 10%. New French oak 16 months in barrel."

This is spicy and very Rhone-like with lots of bramble to the deep, dark fruit profile. Here is a deep, husky version of Grenache with very earthy aromas and plenty of ripe, firm tannins to hold everything in place.
