From the most prestigious region in Valtellina, Lombardy, the Sassella subregion consists of 325 acres of steep slopes with sandy limestone soils. The Grisone from Alfio Mozzi is a hand picked, single vineyard Nebbiolo that is enthusiastic in its aromatics and concentrated on the palate. It spends 18 months in small french oak barrel that balances the snap and tenacity of the wine. The fresh, red fruit is still alive and kicking while mixing with notes of savory black tea and leather. It is light to medium bodied and perfect for your next grilled dinner!
