A slightly riper if modestly less tropical nose reflects just enough Chablis character to be persuasive. The round, rich and more voluminous flavors possess good punch and concentration while delivering better depth and length on the somewhat drier finish.
The 2016 Chablis Villages, produced entirely from purchased grapes, offers up a musky bouquet of spiced peaches and fresh melon. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, supple and open-knit, without much concentration or tension. It will be at its best in the near term. (WK)
Bright medium yellow. Tangy orange peel on the nose. In a fruity, nicely focused style with good density and framing acidity to its soft citrus flavors. This attractive village wine will give pleasure early. The Moreaus planned to bottle this wine in late July, or a bit later than they finished the '15. (ST)
