Peter Zemmer's 2017 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio is a classic albeit informal expression of this easy-drinking white grape. The bouquet offers tones of citrus, cut grass and white peach. The mouthfeel is fresh and lean in texture. Only 10% of the wine sees contact with oak. Some 80,000 bottles were made, and the wine offers great value. (ML)
This wine's intense honeysuckle, jasmine and ripe green apple aromas leap out of the glass. The green apple note carries over to the palate, along with honeydew melon and citrus. Fresh acidity and a hint of mineral lift the fruity flavors. (KO)
This light- to medium-bodied white is round and lightly creamy in texture, with bright acidity framing the pleasing mesh of Honeycrisp apple, ground ginger, stone and juicy tangerine flavors. Drink now through 2020. (AN)
