Winemaker's notes: "Grown at 1450’ elevation on red, obsidian-strewn soil resulting from Mt. Konocti’s volcanic upheaval, the Arcanum red blend is all estate fruit made for every night drinking with dinner. Tasting notes: Based on Dolcetto, it is red-fruit focused with vivid cherry, damp earth, plum, and a touch of roasted herbs are part of an almost Spanish flavor profile. Low acidity and robust tannins are present. No new oak. Did someone say pizza? Vineyard: Located outside of Kelseyville, in Lake County, CA., our vineyard is planted to 13 different varietals on highly varied Forbesville benchland soil. Winemaking: All grapes hand harvested in September and October. Fermentation in stainless tanks and bins, lasting from 2 weeks to 2 months. Wood-basket pressed. Unfined, unfiltered. 160 cases made."
