Vanilla and crisp minerality play together in this ripe wine with steely core. It has intense acidity, a lively, bright texture plus a flinty edge that will allow it to age. The wine, still young, will be ready from 2020. *Editors' Choice* (RV)
Like the Fourchaume this is quite firmly reduced but the underlying fruit definitely seem ripe. Otherwise there is excellent volume to the rich, round and suave medium-bodied flavors that are not particularly refined but do offer solid punch on the clean and dry finale.
Light-medium yellow. Smells drier than the Côte de Léchet, offering hints of white stone fruits, flowers and menthol. Nicely concentrated, spicy wine with a bit more shape than the Côte de Léchet. The spiciness carries through to the subtly persistent aftertaste. Less phenolic than the Côte de Léchet but at the same time more structured. (ST)
A mix of apricot, orange Creamsicle, lemon pie and stone flavors ply the creamy texture. Balanced, this expands on the finish. Drink now through 2020. (BS)
