The Transcontinental Rum Line is fast becoming one of the most important rum brands. Founded by the Maison du Whisky in Paris and focused on highlighting the difference "continental" aging has on rum, the Transcontinental Rum Line is offering us incredible values on rare, small batch and single barrel rum. This exceptional cask was distilled at the Diamond Estate in Georgetown in 2004. There it spent less than a month aging before being shipped to the continent (presumably the Netherlands, where a huge majority of the blending rum is sent) before being identified and bottle for TCRL for the US market in 2018. Bottled at a hefty 59.8% cask strength, this special rum is an incredible contrast from the Caribbean aged stocks. Truly a unique specimen that does wonders to further rum's cause.
