This is a cabernet with currant and fresh herb and conifer undertones. Medium to full body, tight and polished tannins and a flavorful finish. So enjoyable now.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley was aged for 18 months in French and American oak (32% new) and contains 5% Petite Sirah. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps boldly forth with cedar and redcurrant scents over a cassis and black raspberry core with hints of bay leaves and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, it has a lively line and great intensity, finishing with an herbal lift. (LPB)
