A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec, aged 20 months in 50% new French oak, it over-delivers and will keep for 10-15 years.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot and 1% Malbec aged in 50% new French oak, with fruit from St. Helena (45%), Oakville (35%) and Oak Knoll (20%). Deep garnet-purple colored, it sings of crushed blackcurrants, black berries and warm plums with touches of cigar box, bay leaves, new leather and cast iron pan. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with great freshness and layer upon layer of intense black fruits, finishing with a compelling herbal lift. (LPB)
