Christopher Tynan boasts one of the more impressive resumés in Napa Valley for a young winemaker. After harvests at Cain and Blankiet, he landed at Colgin where he worked as assistant winemaker for six years. With this type of experience under his belt, it's no wonder he was brought on as head winemaker for Cliff Lede, where he is now turning out some of Napa's most acclaimed luxury bottlings. His makes a series of lovely, boutique Cabernets under his own label, mostly from his own estate vineyard, Meleagris Gallopavo. This non-vintage blend is a whimsical project he took on to make the most of some excess juice left from the 2015 and 2016 vintages, with the Cabernet (42% of the blend) coming from his estate vineyard and the Syrah (58%) coming from Bennett Vineyard in Sonoma.
