The new Baron de Montfaucon label may confuse some but these are still the same great wines produced by our friends at Chateau de Montfaucon. The Baron label represents the relationship between the le Pin family and a few key growers whose fruit they wanted to work with. Combining these resources and overseeing all the vineyard practices, winemaker Rudi le Pin delivers the same quality and unique style. The Cotes du Rhone Blanc is a blend of 70% Clairette, 20% Viognier and 10% Grenache Blanc.

    Oh what a pretty wine! And I say that in the most serious way... The Viognier shines through with a cornucopia of tropical fruits tinged with a somewhat more delicate aromas i.e. Peaches, white flowers, apricots. Great pairing with spicy goods, salads, creamy sauced fish.

    Montfaucon always delivers on their whites! Crisp, clean, vibrant with beautiful texture as well. Lemon peel, herbs de Provence, lemon drops and white pepper are the stars here but please feel free to try for yourself to see what you can find! Bottoms up!

    Based primarily on Clairette, this is subtle and silky offering that provides lovely flavors of nectarine and white peaches. There is lovely glycerol texture that is bolstered with bright acidity. The Viognier and Grenache Blanc lend a touch of white flower to the wine but it is Clairette that is speaking the biggest truth. This is classic and refined.

    Fans of the Montfaucon whites will find this bottling a bit more forward and open knit than the other offerings. This has flowery aromas of citrus blossom and assorted ripe stone fruits-especially white peach. A touch of glycerin adds texture to the rich mid-palate of baked apricot and warm peach and the honeyed finish is stony, dry and refreshing. This is invigorating enough for Summer sipping but has the weight and texture to carry you straight through the Winter Holidays.
