Unwooded, as it always is, this remarkable wine comes from a single, east-facing parcel. It's saline and elegant, with a pithy austerity that's almost Riesling-like, leading to a bracingly dry, focussed finish. (TA)

The 2017 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru is 100% raised in tank although, the nose dupes you into thinking there might have been a little wood influence. It has a glorious bouquet with flecks of white chocolate and almond permeating the citrus fruit. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a lick of salinity on the back palate with a taut, linear spicy front palate. It feels very cohesive and very persistent. Excellent. (NM)

The only Grand Cru of Droin without any oak influence. This subtle Chablis has the freshness of morning sun and air (eastern exposition). Fragrant, airy and subtle white stone fruits and flowers. The palate has a very elegant, very concentrated and very focused central core of long, tight stone-fruit flavors. A chalky, smooth finish. Superb purity! Drink on release.

An elegant and pure nose combines plenty of floral elements with those of quinine, pear and a whiff of oyster shell. The rich yet refined flavors possess good mid-palate density and intensity, all wrapped in super-saline and stony finish, indeed this is like sucking on a small pebble. *Sweet Spot*
