  A fantastic prestigious cuvée this year with a solid core of fruit that makes it so serious and structured. Like a grand cru Burgundy. Full body. Lightly chewy. Phenolic tension gives it form and beauty. This is the first year to use numbers. 55% chardonnay and 45% pinot noir. 2004, 2002 and 1999.

  A grand wine, this is the 24th blend of Grand Siécle, the producer's top cuvée. With wonderful toastiness, the Champagne from grand cru vineyards is at a perfect moment of maturity. Almonds mingle with the white fruits and acidity in perfect balance. (RV)

  Tasted from magnum, a format that won't come to market for another year or two, Laurent-Perrier's NV Brut Grand Siècle #24 is a blend of the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages. Wafting from the glass with a lovely bouquet of dried flowers, toasted nuts, mandarin orange, clear honey and subtle hints of iodine, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and expressive, with all the elegant charm and accessibility it displayed when I reviewed it for the first time last year. As I wrote then, this is an especially giving rendition of Grand Siècle that will show well young. (WK)

  Laurent-Perrier's NV Grande Cuvée Grand Siècle No. 24 is just starting to show the first signs of aromatic and flavor complexity, which makes it a very satisfying Champagne for current drinking. Hints of apricot, lemon confit, white flowers and marzipan grace this wonderfully vibrant, inviting edition of Grand Siècle built on the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages. The Grande Cuvée No. 24 is silky, perfumed and classy all the way. Time in the glass brings out the wine's freshness and energy. (AG)

  An animated Champagne. The vibrant, crystalline frame of acidity and the finely detailed mousse support rich hints of toasted brioche and briny mineral, layered with flavors of Jonagold apple, candied lemon zest, spun honey and ripe blackberry. Sleek and racy on the lasting, spiced finish. (AN)

  Whereas the previous three Grand Siècles included 2002 in the mix, and the three before that were bolstered by 1996, Iteration 24 has no ‘superstar’ component and therefore is a sublimation of the concept of a team effort, even if the 2007 represents 60% of the blend, with the '06 and '04 with 20% each. Disgorged in October 2018, the wine is precocious and somewhat undeveloped. Full-bodied and dense, it labours under its primary colours. With time, the wine will flourish and the famous Grand Siècle freshness will rejuvenate the ensemble. Patience will assuredly be rewarded! (SF)

  This iteration 24 is one of the best Grand Siecle offerings that I have tasted. The nose is beautiful with a hint of toast. In the mouth it is dry and complex with a touch of elegance to round things out. Focused and delicious it is a real treat.

  In a recent lineup of some of the great names in Champagne (you can guess some of them), this was a clear stand out. This is always one of the laciest, finest and longest of the great Houses and a master class in elegance and sophistication. From the pin point bead to the long, precise mineral infused finish, this is class in a glass and a great addition to any special occasion.

  For those who don't know, Laurent Perrier decided to add the iteration number on the bottles and this happens to be the 24th bottling of the Grand Siecle. Aromatics are soft and balanced with red fruit and a subtle leesy note finishing long with firm acid, bright fruit and a hint of brioche on the mid palate. It's not complex but it has a lot of character and worthy of a special occasion.

  The first Grand Siècle to be numbered with an iteration! Now we won't have to wonder which batch it is from anymore. This is Champagne at its most refined, subtle and elegant. If you like a silky style, with just the right amount of baguette toast and a whole lot of length, this is for you. The price of the 24th iteration is very fair given how much all of the other grand marques charge for their younger, higher production tête de cuvées. It is composed of the 2007,2006 and 2004 vintages.

  Iteration #24 of the Grand Siecle blends Laurent-Perrier stocks from their 2007, 2006, and 2004 vintages. The nose is so beautiful and delicate with soft floral notes like a breeze through a field of wildflowers, refreshing lemon-lime zest, and minerality of chalk and sea salt. Given how dainty the nose seemed, the palate’s bold and cutting acidity took my breath away. In addition to the acid, the citrus gets creamy like lemon meringue pie, with stone fruit and interesting smoky nuances.

  Since 1955, only 23 blends of Grand Siecle have been released until now! The latest is based on 2007 with reserve wines from 2006 and 2004, aged 11 years on the lees! The nose is an intriguing blend of pear, citrus, even tropical fruit, a hint of flinty smoke and cream, and of course vibrant minerals. This is one of the expensive bottles that is absolutely worth every penny.

  Created in 1959, the LP Grand Siècle is easily one of my favorite 'Prestige Cuvées' as it is only made in good vintages and in very limited quantities where striving for excellence and elegance are the main goals. This year they have started to 'batch' their releases to better follow the makeup of the cuvées and maybe for you connoisseurs to start a collection! The Iteration 24 is the twenty fourth time the Laurent-Perrier has released the Grand Siècle and is made up of vintages 2004, 2006 and 2007. This Champagne has a beautiful key lime pie aroma topped with a certain salinity that makes the mouth start watering way before you've even tasted it. The 24th Iteration spends a whopping 11 years on its lees giving this wine an undisputed elegance. Echoing my review for the normal Grand Siècle, you will not get tired drinking this Champagne.

  This is new for them to start using numbered bottlings, but I'm excited because we can be certain as to the vintages in the blend. The vintages that this blend consists of include 2007, 2006, and 2004. The grapefruit rind on the nose and minerals on the palate are interesting, but I always come back to delicate texture and elegant flavors. Beautiful!

  More brash and youthful than its non-vintage successor, this wine is built to hang with the great, editioned cuvees of the world, and it performs this role admirably. Tight brioche notes over an initially light frame that deepens and broadens farther back on the palate, this is sushi bait if there ever is.

  The first of the new line of numbered Grand Siecle to be introduced by Laurent-Perrier. It's a lovely multi-vintage blend that displays notes of clotted cream, stone fruit, and honeysuckle. Not enough good can be said about the Grand Siecle, and given the wines they are competing with they are truly holding their own!
