From one of Aosta's largest yet most quality-conscious cooperatives, this delightful red blend is one of our favorite everyday drinkers. Composed of approximately 75% Petit Rouge and the remainder a combination of Vien de Nus, Cornallin, and Premetta, this wine is sourced from high-altitude vineyards between 600 and 800 meters elevation. These native varieties grow remarkably well here, ripening fully yet retaining a bright, balanced acidity that makes this wine an ideal pairing for a wide range of cuisine. The ruby red fruits and savory almond notes are underpinned by soft yet vibrant tannins. Serve this wine at cellar
temperature, or definitely less than room temperature. Great with cold cuts, and perfect with barbecued chicken! While immensely appealing now, the Torrette can be laid down for 3 or 4 years to soften further and take on more elegance.

The wines of Cave des Onze hail from Valle d'Aosta in northwest Italy. This narrow, picturesque valley is just south of the French border and the Mont Blanc tunnel. Here the red wines tend to be more medium-bodied in weight with mild tannins and good acidity. This is a classic regional red aged entirely in steel tanks with spiced Cherry fruit flavors and a juicy palate. It's versatile at the table and makes for a wonderful diversion from the usual suspects.
