Deeply colored, the 2017 Pinot Noir tastes like a mini version of The Hilt Estate Pinot Noir. Ripe black raspberries, cherries, toasted spice, and scorched earth nuances all flow to a medium-bodied, concentrated Pinot Noir that drinks well today, yet has the depth and tannins to evolve for at least 5-6 years.
The 2017 Pinot Noir is another very pretty wine in the lineup. Sweet red/purplish berry fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and sweet spice all run through this super-expressive Pinot. Think of the Paring Pinot as the Bourgogne of The Hilt. All the signatures are there, but in miniature. (AG)
