Bright violet. Heady aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, potpourri and licorice are complemented by smoky mineral and spice nuances that emerge with air. Juicy, expansive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors become sweeter and put on weight with aeration while retaining a graceful touch. Velvety tannins lend subtle grip to an impressively long, mineral-laced finish that echoes the floral note.

This is glowingly fresh in its red-fruit flavors, an intense Gigondas with an accent on clarity. A blend of mostly grenache, with five percent each mourvèdre and clairette, it comes off of old vines growing on the upper terraces of this estate. The tartness of the fruit and its floral spice keep it lean and long, an elegant red for roast lamb chops.

Dark and focused, with cassis, blackberry and black currant fruit flavors spliced together, racing along atop mouthwatering bramble, lavender and rosemary accents. A bright iron streak pierces the finish, adding lift and range. Best from 2019 through 2027. (JM, Web Only-2017)
The upper terraces (300-400m) 85% grenache, 10% mourvèdre and 5% clairette. This has a very floral, dark rose-like nose. The palate has cassis and blueberry flavor. Ripe glossy tannins. Elegant. Orange zest finish. 30% whole bunches. Grainy finish. Drink over the next decade.
