This is a good value label coming from Alexander Valley. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Edge is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Petite Sirah, bottled in May 2019. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it strides confidently out of the glass with notes of warm blackberries, Black Forest cake and plum preserves plus hints of Chinese five spice, dusty soil and stewed black tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black fruit preserves with a pleasantly chewy texture and savory finish. (LPB)

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the nose retains its fruit. Dried flowers, sweet red cherry, mint and blood orange add nuance to this easygoing Cabernet. This is an especially perfumed, fruity style for Ray Signorello's Edge Cabernet.
