Robert Gibourg no longer makes this wine, as the fruit was purchased on a lease agreement. His red wines have shown themselves to be structured and long-lived with robust tannins that somehow do not overshadow the fruit. This Clos de la Roche Grand Cru bottling is squarely in its wheelhouse, showing excellent characteristics of both terroir and vintage.
