  90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Lugasson, property of the Bellanger family. 30-year-old vines yielding 50 hl/ha. Two-thirds aged in barrel for 12 months. Clean and direct. With fairly pronounced tannins still. I'm not sure I agree with the Bellangers that this has 12 years' ageing potential but it's certainly a very good effort for the price. 16/20 points (JR)

  Still young and full of bright fruit, this is a juicy wine with acidity and red-fruit flavors. Its vibrant character is lively although it does need time. (RV)

  Another 2016 value from Bordeaux for the win! Beautiful balance and elegance for less than $15. Morello cherry, toast, licorice, and mint. Great tannin/acid balance - Drinking great now, but this will age for 8 - 10 more years!
