The aromas are insane with dried flowers and plums. Oyster shell. Such power and depth. Full body. Powerful and layered. Dense and long. Shows richness and structure. Try after 2021, but already gorgeous to drink.

The Tassi 2015 Brunello di Montalcino offers a beautiful level of purity and clarity that is really quite remarkable. The wine is polished and glossy with lively aromas of wild cherry, forest floor, licorice and pressed violets or lavender. You might also pick up faint tones of potting soil and savory spice, but it all comes in careful moderation. This wine ages in 20-hectoliter oak casks for 30 months. Tassi's Brunello maintains a medium-weight mouthfeel, however the natural freshness and integrated tannins give the wine a much larger footprint on all the senses. (ML) 94+

Full ruby-red. Sexy aromas of ripe red cherry and flowers, complemented by a note of coffee reduction that is (along with notes of chocolate) very typical of most Tassi wines. Then supple and sweet, with red cherry fruit complicated by herbs and black olive notes. Finishes long with nicely ripe tannins. (ID)
