I also tasted the 2017 Quite, a slightly riper year, more voluptuous, with darker fruit and a touch of smoked meat that gave it a Rhône-ish twist. This is intense and powerful, with glossy tannins compared with the stony austerity of the 2016. I see this halfway between 2015 and 2016. In 2017 they suffered from frost in Valtuille and Verónica Ortega had to find grapes in other parts of Bierzo, so there are grapes from slate soils, different altitudes... (LG)
