  Golden yellow. Vibrant aromas of apple, pear and white flowers. Ripe peach and apple flavors show an oily texture. Luscious, multilayered and big but very juicy. Closes with a welcome gingery bite. This is a real success for a Fiano wine in the hot 2017 season, when the variety fared less well than other Campanian white wine grapes. (ID)

  Tenuta Sarno 1860's 2017 Fiano di Avellino is a terrific and handy white wine to pair with your next healthy salad or sandwich lunch. This pure expression of Fiano sees fruit picked at high altitudes (at 630 meters above sea level) where the temperatures are always cooler and crisper. Those same qualities apply to the tonic and focused personality of the aromas you get here. (ML) 90+

  This is consistently one of the finest Fianos produced. While many battled the warmth of 2017, this storied estate benefitted from it's higher elevation locale and produced a crisp and fresh white loaded with aromatics and flavor. It opens with lovely aromas of orchard fruits and white flowers and delivers a rich and flavorful palate with lingering notes of ginger and hazelnut. Open this with white meats, fish and vegetable dishes.
