The grapes for this wine hail from the Wahluke Slope, Rattlesnake
Hills, and Red Mountain regions of the Columbia
Valley. The team at Ryan Patrick uses fruit from each
of these AVAs to achieve a beautiful blend,
representing the best of Columbia Valley Cabernet.
The wine was aged in 20% new American Oak
barrels for 18 months, and then blended to taste and
bottled. It is just now coming into its own with rich
cassis, prominent blackberry leaf, cedar and tobacco
notes. On the palate it is silky smooth with unctuous
black fruit and latent savory tones. It’s a perfect
example of the excellence this region can achieve.
