The name Martin Ray resonates deeply in the history of California Winemaking. Martin Ray was a pioneer, dedicated to crafting single varietal, region specific wine from 1943 through 1972 in Saratoga, and developed what is now one of the most historic properties in California. Nearly twenty years later, Courtney Benham purchased the brand, and has been committed to the production of artisanal wines worthy of the Martin Ray name. The wine is sourced heavily from Coombsville and Rutherford with other parcels selected in the Napa Valley.

After a recent run of huge successes with their spectacular Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, the 2017 Napa Valley Cab is an absolute steal! The price on this vintage actually went down! That almost never happens with Napa Valley, but in this instance the winery is passing on some fruit cost savings to us and thus to you. The quality of this Cab is plain to see and the price tag under $20 is nothing short of miraculous. Sourced from Coombsville, Rutherford, Stags' Leap and Diamond Mountain, this is serious Napa Cab at an every day price point. Rich, deep, red fruit, currant, plum, liquored cherry, vanilla, toasted spices. Soft, ripe, silky tannins mean that this is ready to enjoy right out of the gate but will also hold for 3-5 years with no problem. Without doubt one of the very best values in modern day Napa Cabernet.

Its on the jammier side of the fruit spectrum but still has enough body and Cabernet flavor to make us happy. Where else can you find a Napa Valley Cabernet for $20? The perfect daily drinker or party wine to be consumed with or without food.
