Although its makers say many people thought it was bad idea when they first produced it in 2006, the detractors have been proven wrong: after Sauvignon Blanc, this is TWR's second-biggest-selling white internationally, and it's easy to see why. This co-fermentation is attractive and aromatic. The blend varies in its proportions but it is generally Gewürztraminer-dominated, giving a floral nose and viscosity to the palate. The Gris brings pear fruit and additional roundness, while the Riesling pulls the wine together like a shoelace. Well-handled phenolics and pleasing sinew on the medium-length finish.
