This is a gorgeously styled sauvignon, showing grapefruit, Granny Smith apple, kaffir lime and flinty aromas on the nose, leading to a finely textured palate that’s focused and persistent. It’s wonderfully structured by firm acidity, finishing impressively long and engaging. At its best: now to 2026. Certified organic.
I don't know if the fact that this wine is produced from organically-grown grapes has anything to do with its appealing delicacy, freshness and purity. Lime, passionfruit and lemongrass flavours, with an ethereal texture and gently lingering finish.
This is an expressive and downright delicious Sauvignon from a great vintage and a thoughtful producer. Hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed with six months on lees, there's a refreshing ease of winemaking here. The nose is like unbaked apple crumble combined with notes of lemon verbena and tomato leaf. The texture is gorgeous, with bright acidity and a long lemony, herbal finish. This is good friendly and filled with personality.
Sourced from the Waihopai Valley, Fromm's 2019 Organic Sauvignon Blanc matured on lees for six months prior to bottling. It's a medium-bodied white, with scents on the sedate gooseberry and pink grapefruit side of the spectrum, rather than crazy thiols and tropical notes. It shows ample concentration and a lovely, silky texture on the palate, lingering on the finish.
