Employing all five of the classic Bordelaise red grapes, this medium-full-bodied working shows a modicum of the dark cherry fruit that its dominant variety predicts, but its other components bring a bit of savory, slightly woody spice to the mix as well as some tightening tannins. It gets fairly grippy with drying astringency standing out just enough in the latter going to make a good case for a couple of years of age before being matched up with the likes of grilled loin lamb chops or a rare New York steak.
