This was the first vineyard bought by the Bouchard family, purchased in 1791. More than 220 years later, this 2011 has a delicate touch of wood nestled in the heart of creamy fruit flavors. Crisp lemon and tight acidity give a bright, fresh aftertaste. (RV)
Tight and gingery, this wine needs air to show its delicate scents of stone fruit and honeysuckle. It’s spicy and peppery, a round wine that hints at the detail it will offer with several years in bottle.
A discreet touch of wood surrounds aromas of apricot, apple and lemon along with the barest trace of the exotic. There is fine volume to the utterly delicious and succulent medium weight flavors that possess just a bit more overall depth and length on the balanced and mouth coating finish.
Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of yellow peach, honey, vanilla and nuts. Round and spicy on the palate, with apple, pear and peach flavors enlivened by notes of stone and bitter lemon pith. Good fruity, easygoing wine with a slightly lean finish. (ST)
A fresh, talcum powder— and lemon cake—infused white, with the vibrant structure driving the finish. Mouthwatering.
