Franck Grux picked his Chevalier extremely early in 2018 to compensate for the poor soils and their relative inability to retain water. The decision was fully justified, because this is a stunning Grand Cru Burgundy. Entirely aged in older oak, it's taut, tangy and very fine, with layers of citrus and orange peel, saline minerality and plenty of power in reserve. Drinking Window 2023 - 2030. (TA)
