A juicy and lightly jammy cabernet with hints of fresh herbs, following through to a full body, soft tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Aconcagua is blended with 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Syrah from vines planted in 1999 on alluvial soils. It fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts and matured in French barriques (20% new) for one year. It felt a little closed and shy, with faint balsamic aromas and a core of blackberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and has very good freshness, quite varietal even if it's not particularly complex. (LG)
A classic Chilean Cabernet nose of dark-fruit aromas, wood spice and tar introduces a weighty palate with raw tannins. Savory, barrel-heavy flavors of berry fruits finish with a monotone taste and character of resiny oak. (MS)
A racy style, with plenty of sanguine notes to the crushed dark fruit and dried red berry flavors. Accents of graphite appear on the finish, showing hints of slate and hot stone. Drink now through 2021. (KM, Web Only-2019)
