All from Sonoma County, the 2018 Chardonnay spent 15 months in neutral barrels. Its light gold hue is followed by beautiful melon and stone fruits as well as notes of brioche, white flowers, and honeysuckle. With a subtle kiss of oak, beautiful richness, medium body, and great finish, it's another stunning value from this label to enjoy over the coming year or two.
Nicely formed and clean as a whistle, this fairly straightforward effort is, like its pricier sibling under the Cattleya label, built on a base of crisp, fresh apples. But, minerality rather than supportive richness is highlighted, and, while there is every chance that the wine will hold up well in the bottle, we would counsel drinking it up now alongside pan-fried Dover sole or mountain trout. *Good Value*
