The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a wonderful bouquet of crushed stone, white peach, mirabelle and light sea spray notes. The palate is very well balanced, with a crisp line of acidity, and quite saline in the mouth, leading to a penetrating and certainly very persistent finish. Superb. (NM)

A very attractive and focused lime nose with chalk, a little praline and a sunny feel. The palate is very supple and succulent with dry, chalky elegance. Lacy and long. Drink on release.

There is a whiff of the exotic to the ripe aromas of yellow orchard fruit compote that reflect reasonable Chablis typicity along with a background nuance of oak toast. There is fine volume to the medium weight and discreetly mineral-inflected flavors that evidence a hint of bitter lemon on the lingering finish. This generous effort is ripe but not heavy though it would be fair to observe that it doesn't have the energy of the best in the range.
