From the producer: "Started in 2009 by Samantha Poe, as a resident of Napa, she has a friend in St. Helena that had a vineyard client drop out at the very last minute. He offered to sell the grapes at farming cost to Samantha and that's where Ultraviolet started. The vineyards she works with are in Coombsville and St Helena. The wine is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. The oak program is 50% new, 50% neutral. Blackberry compote with hints of blueberry, a chewy mouthfeel with an earthiness familiar of an old world Bordeaux. Hints of tobacco and leather with bright acidity and soft lasting tannin."
