Pascal Gitton is the current scion at the helm of Domaine Gitton. The estate began life as a 1.5-hectare parcel near Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre that his grandmother farmed in addition to running a bistro and épicerie. From these beginnings, the total of the family’s various holdings is now close to 33 hectares. They specialize in silex (flint) soils which make up about 50% of their total holdings. Les Fredins is all from said silex showing the vibrancy that soil imparts. Notes of citrus, gooseberry and crackling minerality define the rich palate.
