Rich, deep and explosive, the 2019 possesses superb depth and impeccable balance. Soaring aromatics make a strong first impression. The wine is every bit as appealing on the palate, with layers of fruit that open up effortlessly. Sweet tobacco, cedar, licorice, grilled herbs and red raspberry fruit come together in this superb Margaux. The 2019 is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, harvested between September 26 and October 12. Aging is expected to be 18 months in 65% new oak and 35% once-used barrels." (6/2020)
