The 2017 Lapola, the entry-level white blend, is mostly Godello complemented by 15% Dona Blanca and 5% Albariño and comes from a year marked by frost and storms followed by warm weather that accelerated everything. It has an expressive and characterful nose with a mixture of herbs, flowers, pollen and some spices. The palate reveals very tasty flavors and a long, spicy finish that's almost salty. This is delicious, very sexy now, but with aging potential. It matured in oak vats and barrels followed by time in concrete eggs. 13,313 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2019. (LG)

Dominio do Bibei is a project based in the Bibei valley in Ribeira Sacra, Northwest Spain. The biodynamically farmed vines are located on terraced clay and slate soils, with some granitic parcels as well, and the wine is vinified in concrete eggs and variously shaped used oak barrels.
75% Godello, 20% Albariño, and 5% Doña Blanca from various plots at 400-750m of altitude on schist and slate. Fermented in a mix of foudre and concrete tanks. Aged in wood ranging from 600L to 2400L and concrete tank on the lees. No malo.
