Minty dark chocolate, maple syrup, iced tea, dark berries, tobacco barn, peanuts, and leather on the nose. The palate is chock-full of rich fruit—blackberry jam, plums in syrup, black cherries—and luscious dark chocolate, with well-integrated oak, leather, maple syrup drizzle, and overtones of herbs. It’s consistent into the finish, with cooked fruit, leather, mint and other herbal flavors, and plenty of chocolate. (SSB, Summer 2020)
K&L Notes
A new Kentucky sourced NDP with some solid juice and a film industry themed package. This seems likely to be the typical bourbon mashbill around 70-75% corn, 10-15% rye and the difference malted barley . Both the juice and the bottles seem to be turning heads. This very small batch 12 year old was bottled at a robust 100 proof and offers both opulence and charisma. Each label is embossed with 22 karat gold and a customer made black beachwood top. A bold, handsome bourbon with good spice and an ultra-rich texture.
