The 2011 les Aigrots is an excellent wine, jumping from the glass in a classy blend of cherries, a touch of blood orange, gamebirds, vinesmoke and a beautiful base of complex soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very light on its feet, with a fine core, an elegant and very precise palate impression, fine-grained tannins and a long, youthful and transparent finish. A classically refined and soil-driven 2011 in the making.

Good full red. Red berry, truffle and spice aromas show an almost liqueur-like sweetness. Lush, concentrated and sweet, with lovely depth and definition to the red fruit and spice flavors. This charming, rather suave wine really spreads out on the back to saturate the palate. I may even be underestimating this lovely Beaune wine. (ST)

A highly perfumed, pure and very pretty nose of plum, rose petal and red currant aromas introduces intensely mineral-driven, vibrant and beautifully well-delineated flavors that terminate in a markedly saline, clean and crisp finish. I very much like the depth and persistence and this should make for a really lovely effort with the proper cellar time of 10 to 12 years.
