A classic combination went into this Carménère from Colchagua, which boasts a rich structure and mouthfeel with ripe aromas. The point is that here the style is very well-executed. A reddish purple with a slight orange hue thanks to its 12-month aging process, it offers up pyrazine, ripe blackberries, black pepper and wood. In the mouth it is fleshy, rich and warm with mature, firm, well-polished tannins and a long finish where the wood comes back to the party. (JH)
