A dense and concentrated Bordeaux-style blend, showing promise with its tightly wound core of earthy currant, spice, plum and cherry flavors that fan out nicely on the finish, where the tannins clamp down. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Very bright ruby-red. Dark berries, mocha and earth on the nose, plus hints of sweet butter and Madeira; distinctly lower-toned than the 2004. Broad and supple on the palate; much more evolved than the 2004 but the savory black plum and mocha flavors show sneaky persistence. This has enough structure and grip to hang around for a while.
