  Medium red. Full red with a hint of amber. Aromas of redcurrant, minerals, sweet butter and herbs, plus a suggestion of candle wax. Conveys attractive floral lift on the firm, delineated middle palate. Intensely flavored and fresh, with bright, slightly herbal acidity driving the fruit through a lively finish featuring fine-grained tannins and sneaky length and lift.   This dark purple-colored wine displays a tight but promising nose of spice, vanilla, and blackcurrants. Straightforward on the palate, with medium body, as well as excellent concentration and ripeness, this tightly-knit 1995 should turn out to be a very good, possibly outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon made in a stylish, suave, savory manner. I especially admired the balance between the wine's tannin and fruit. (RP)
