The 1975 vintage was the first Artist Series produced by Kenwood Vineyards and features "Hillside," a specially commissioned work of art from Californian artist David Lance Goines. The original version featured a naked woman on the hillside and a second version had a skeleton. Both ot these are extremely rare because both were banned by the BATF! Kenwood's tasting notes: "This wine is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. It exhibits a characteristic Cabernet nose, and a ripe berry flavor permeates the taste. The wine was aged in small oak barrels and will continue to improve with bottle age."
