Older Bordeaux at a great price, from a four star vintage from Michael Broadbent. This one had the structure to last for decades. According to Robert Parker: "Gruaud-Larose, situated inland from the Gironde, has produced some of St.-Julien's most massive and tannic wines. Despite the estate's enormous production, Gruaud-Larose has consistently demonstrated high quality, especially during the period from the late seventies through the late eighties. In some vintages, this property can produce wines of first-growth quality. The finest vintages generally require 10-15 years of bottle age."
